🧺 Spills happen — coffee, grease, sweat, wine — but throwing stained clothes straight into the washer can actually “set” the stain permanently.
Here’s how to treat the most common stains the right way.

☕ Coffee & Tea
These are tannin stains and love hot water (in a bad way).
❌ Don’t use hot water first
✅ Rinse with cold water
✅ Apply liquid detergent
✅ Wash cold

🍝 Grease & Oil
Oil repels water, so you need something that cuts grease.
✅ Sprinkle baking soda or cornstarch first
✅ Let sit 15 minutes
✅ Brush off
✅ Add dish soap (yes, dish soap!)
✅ Wash warm

🍷 Red Wine
Speed is everything.
✅ Blot (don’t rub)
✅ Pour cold water through the back of the stain
✅ Add salt or baking soda
✅ Wash cold

👕 Sweat & Yellowing
Common on white shirts.
✅ Mix baking soda + hydrogen peroxide + dish soap
✅ Rub gently
✅ Let sit 30 minutes
✅ Wash warm

🧠 Pro Tip: Never Dry Until the Stain is Gone
Heat locks stains permanently.
If you still see it after washing → treat again before drying.
